I have recently discovered that Walkers Salt & Vinegar crisps, which used to one of the few flavours that dairy allergics could enjoy, has changed its recipe to contain milk.

Avoid, reintroduce or desensitise – what’s the answer?

I’ve been reading more this week about the doctors at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and their amazing trials to cure peanut allergy. But what is the answer? Should we avoid foods? Cure allergies with lengthy and complicated desensitisation treatment or slowly reintroduce foods naturally to avoid the problem in the first place?

Can yoga alleviate allergy symptoms?

I recently read a post from entitled “Yoga and Seasonal allergies”. The article talks of a recent study (May 2009) where allergy sufferers practised Hatha yoga three times a week for ten weeks and saw marked improvements in their breathing and asthma symptoms.
