Sunday 23rd February 2022 at 3pm on Zoom
This poetry workshop is for everyone, from beginners to budding poets. From fellow TSW warriors to anyone who wants to explore the world of words and their power to help us understand ourselves, each other and connect in a powerful yet simple way.
Led by writer, performer and TSW warrior Hannah Davies, the workshop will be structured so that you can try different techniques, use the prompts and hopefully unleash the poetic spirit inside you.
You can share your creations on the day but you don’t have to. This will be a completely safe place for you all to learn about poetry from a pro!
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself, your imagination and some paper and a pen or pencil!
What’s the format?
The workshop will be two hours long.
- We will begin with a short guided meditation for the skin, led by Ruth.
- Hannah will then lead us in some exercises with prompts and guidance all the way.
- There will be the opportunity to read out any poems you feel able to share with the group but there is absolutely no obligation to do this.
The workshop will be held on zoom and will be very informal and we hope you enjoy.
More about Hannah

Little bit about me…
I’m Ruth and I’ve been writing my whole life, since my first teenage diaries at 12 years old to my new book of eczema poems (The Shape of Skin, available on Amazon for just £7.50) at the ripe old age I am now… 21 in case you were wondering. I don’t have any qualifications in poetry but have done a Diploma in Copywriting. I just love words, writing and the release, healing and joy they bring me. If I’m not writing I’m reading or listening to the spoken word and I hope this workshop will introduce more people to the power or words to heal, to bring joy and to express how we feel in a way that can really connect with others.
How to book
