Fudge used to be a distant memory. The soft creamy delicacy melting on your tongue. I had thought that having a dairy allergy would just mean I would never again enjoy the pleasure of a bag of fudge.
Wonders will never cease because the clever people at the Fabulous Fudge Factory have created just that – dairy free fudge.
It is also amazingly and very pleasingly:
- suitable for vegetarians and vegans
- dairy free
- contains no hydrogenated fats
- no artificial colours or flavours
- no artificial preservatives
- is gluten free
- GM free
What more could a girl ask for?
They are made with soya and cocoa butter and taste very very sweet. Kind of like a cross between those peppermint sweets you used to make as kids from icing sugar, and Kendal mint cake, but without the minty taste. It tastes remarkably like fudge, and even my dairy gorging husband who would normally turn his nose up at any of my special dietary products, has grown quite a liking for this fudge. Bad news for me! I usually get to eat the lot but have to hide these from him now.
Ingredients
Sugar, glucose syrup, soya (dairy free alternative to milk), cocoa butter and vanilla flavouring.
I got my Fabulous Fudge Factory dairy free fudge from Goodness Direct. Click on the advert on the right hand side to visit Goodness Direct to buy some, and hundreds of other special dietary products suitable for those with allergies.
Have you tried these? I would strongly recommend them.
Marks out of ten? I’d give this fudge a spectacular 9/10.
