Imagine my amazement this morning when I read an email from Cision UK that my humble blog, What Allergy? has been ranked in the Top 5 UK Allergy Blogs.
At first I thought it was a joke, or spam, or someone after my money, but when I visited the site and discovered I was indeed listed, alongside four other brilliant blogs my eyes widened with disbelief.
Well, what can I say. I’m delighted and proud to be voted alongside two of my own personal favourite blogs, Allergy Insight and the lovely Michelle’s blog. There are also two new blogs that I haven’t found before so I’m looking forward to finding out more about them.
The Ranking goes like this:
- Lucy’s free from (gluten) blog
- Alex Gazzola’s Allergy Insight blog
- Michelle Berriedale-Johnson’s blog
- My very own excellent what allergy? blog
- And a new one for me, The Pure Nature blog
This is what the email said: “what allergy? has been selected by Cision, a global media intelligence provider, to be included in this week’s Cision’s Top 5 UK Allergy Blog Ranking. Every week, we carefully monitor a selected topical blogosphere in the UK and apply our in-house methodology to identify and rank these blogs accordingly.
Well, all I can say is WOW! Thank you Cision! What an honour!

A lot of effort, passion and hard work goes on around the world by bloggers who want to share experiences, lessons, recipes, information etc. It’s easy to start your own blog and very rewarding when you receive comments and thanks from readers.
I will now be beaming from ear to ear for some time.

Thanks Bob. I truly love writing this blog. Living with allergies is just one long journey with so many little lessons and learnings along the way. I forget what I’ve discovered myself sometimes and learn from own articles! If it helps just a few people I’ve done my job!
