Coconut ice is one of my favourite naughty treats. It’s a real sugar rush but is tasty, contains no artificial colours or flavours and, well, it does it for me anyway.
Ingredients: Sugar, coconut flakes, water, glucose syprup, citric acid, fruit and vegetable concentrates (Hibiscus concentrate, apple concentrate, carrot concentrate, radish concentrate, red cabbage)
The only place I’ve ever found this is in Tesco, and it’s not easy to track down. It can be hidden in the baking aisle along with sugar, currants and cake making inredients, or last time I looked, it was with the chocolate selection boxes. Ask a member of staff if you can’t find it but it’s well worth a bit or searching.
Kids will love them if you have a taste for coconut and they are free from dairy, gluten, egg and soya. The recipe is nut free but they aren’t guaranteed nut free since the factory uses nuts in other products. I have a nut allergy and have never had an issue with this product, but if you are very sensitive you may not want to risk it.
Have you tried these? What did you think?
