Very quick blog post today, I am just back from an amazing week’s holiday in Dorset (hence the radio silence) in a self-catering cottage, just me, my notepad, writing my novel and lots of books to read. I went on long country walks and did exactly what I wanted when I wanted and ate what I wanted. More on that to follow soon. I had a lovely time and didn’t want the week to end. It’s always great to get home to your own bed though and of course to polish your awards.
Did I mention that while I was away I got a tweet telling me that my blog, What allergy? has just been voted in the Cision UK’s Top 10 Health blogs in the UK. WOW!
And in at number 4 no less.
It was also the ONLY allergy blog in the list so would that imply it’s also the Best Allergy Blog in the UK? I can dream.
I am over the moon. If I could still do them I’d be doing cart wheels.
I wake up each morning, leap out of bed and do star jumps. I’m just so proud.
Woo Hoo! Wey Hey!
OK so the star jumps didn’t really happen but I am beaming from ear to ear.
Thank you all – without all of you this blog would be nothing. The comments and feedback are what make it all worthwhile. Oh and I guess the odd lovely award.
Cision, a global media intelligence provider, weekly produce top 10 rankings. They carefully monitor a selected topical blogosphere in the UK and apply their in-house methodology to identify and rank these blogs accordingly. They also publish weekly blog spotlights with their Media Updates, highlighting new or existing blogs of varying subjects.
Well obviously it’s my amazing writing skills that shone through but I would like to thank Cision for this award – I’m thrilled, and in particular Julie Hermans who put the Top 10 listing together. Clearly a woman who knows a good blog when she sees one.
I hope to enter some other blog awards later this year so watch this space.

Hi Heath and thank you for sharing too. You have no idea how valuable you commenters and repliers are. You are like hen’s teeth, absolute gems. Otherwise it’s like throwing all these ideas, blogs and research over a great yawning cliff… your make it all worthwhile. 🙂

Many congratulations Ruth. I always enjoy reading your blog.

Thanks Yvonne, I absolutely love writing it and far from running out of steam like some people said I would, I have so much more I want to do and ideas of how I can help more people. Thanks so much for your support. One of the criteria for judging the awards was comments on blogs. Blogs without comments are like balloons without air – disappointing! Thanks again. 😉
