Balmonds Bath and Body Oil tested!

13/09/2014 by Ruth Holroyd 3 Comments

Have you tried Balmonds Bath and Body Oil.? I’m trying it at the moment and it’s lush…

Balmonds Bath and Body Oil – use code WHATALLERGY for 20% off

Balmonds Bath and Body Oil acts as a replacement for a regular bath emollient, specially formulated to give protection and deliver moisture to sore skin during bathing.

  • also suitable for those prone to eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and itchy scalp.
  • reduces the drying effects of water
  • replaces the need for perfumed foaming additives and soaps
  • suitable for all ages
  • free from petrochemicals, parabens and preservatives
  • also suitable for dry itchy scalps
  • 100% natural

Ingredients

Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil – to nourish skin
Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil – excellent for sensitive skin
Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil – extremely nourishing, moisturising, rich in essential fatty acids (EFA’s), which are often lacking in those with dry skin.
Calendula Officinalis Flower Oil – for tissue regeneration
Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil – relaxing and cleansing
Linalool (from essential oils)
Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil (Camomile) – to soften and soothe skin

Due to the high level of natural essential oils and botanical extracts colour may vary from batch to batch and over time, this will not affect the quality of the product.

Does not contain nuts and produced in a nut free environment.

Where can I buy Balmonds Bath and body oil?

I use many products from the Balmonds range and it’s one of the few natural products I can use, even on my face. It’s so lovely to use and doesn’t make your skin quite so slick and greasy as some prescription emollients can. It smells lovely and is such a beautiful colour. It’s a treat to use. I carry a little pot of the skin salvation balm with me in my bag and it has worked wonders with my hands.

So what are you waiting for? If you haven’t discovered Balmonds products yet visit their website to find out more.

Use promo code WHATALLERGY for 20% off everything on the Balmonds website.

They now have a Balmonds Eczema and Skin Forum on their website so if you’d like to chat about anything eczema related, like the daft things people say to you about your eczema skin or the things you find hardest to deal with, or to share your thoughts on skincare for eczema, check it out.

NEWSFLASH – You might be able to get Balmonds Skin Salvation ointment on prescription

I’m so excited about this, after lugging home this month’s supply of Epaderm greasy paraffin emollient which I rely on so heavily, the thought of being able to get Skin Salvation on prescription is amazing. I use so much emollient, probably at least a 500g tub a month and more in winter that I can’t afford to buy such lovely products for every day use.

I think it will depend on the flexibility of your doctor as some believe that if you have something that works you’re fine and cheap and cheerful rules. Worth a try though. I shall certainly be taking in a nice picture, product details and ingredients when I next see my dermatologist in DECEMBER! Long wait I know. I have just recently purloined his personal email address so I’ll sound him out on this. Something nice on prescription Wouldn’t that be amazing?

Not sure whether Balmonds products will suit your eczema or psoriasis skin?

Here are just a few testimonies of customers who love Pure Potions to add to mine above:

“After years of inflamed, itching skin and, more recently, months of a genuinely debilitating condition — some sort of allergic reaction, mainly on my hands, diagnosed by various doctors as dermatitis, atopic eczema, psoriasis and/or cellulitis, I was advised (by a member of staff in Holland and Barrett) to try Skin Salvation. I’ve tried many products before, both “natural” and steroidal; this is the first to have relived my symptoms to any extent. I can use my hands again; I’m not constantly in discomfort and I don’t feel self-conscious about my hands. Please keep on producing this amazing product. Thank you!” Helen

“Hello I just wanted to Thank you so very much. My 11 week old daughter has suffered with head to toe severe eczema from about 3 weeks old. She’s been prescribed lotions and creams and even antibiotics and nothing really worked. She was bleeding from scratching so much. I then popped to Holland and Barrett and came across your ointment. Literally on the first application I saw an amazing improvement! I have just ordered your bath oil for her. Thank you so much for helping to heal my baby girl.” Kind Regards Lucy

“Would just like to say thank you for this product. I have had constant lip sores and cuts and rashes around my mouth for months after a really windy day that triggered it all. After using so many other products even organic.. None have helped me as much as this product… From day 1 it healed my lips and the area around! So grateful Thank you! Will recommend”

“Thank you for your wonderful product. I have had eczema my entire life, even hospitalized because of it when I was a child. I will never stop using your product. It is a lifesaver! Feel free to print and use my name.” Synthia Fagen

“My daughter is 17 weeks old about a month ago a red scaly patch came up on the fore head i didnt no what it was thought i could be eczema so i was putting diprobase on it that didnt clear up so tried doublebase gel and diprobase ointment hat also didnt work in the end i took her to the doctors and they wasnt really sure what it was but prescribed me Hydrocortisone i didnt want to use this as its a steroid cream and could thin the skin and her being so young didnt want to risk scaring, i went to the health shop and they gave me a little tester of pure potions skin salvation intensive moisturising ointment i used it just 4 time and the itchy red inflamed patch has gone so i have gone and bought pots of it. I would like to say thank you so much for this product it has helped me and my dayghter so much and she is so much settled now and i can stop worrying. Once again thank you.” Stephanie Angus

“I just wanted to say thankyou thankyou thankyou! I suffer from chronic facial eczema, and this is the only thing i have ever tried that has worked to heal it. I am 20 years old, and a singer songwriter, and i no longer have to cancel my gigs / photoshoots because of my outbreaks, or trowel on makeup to try and cover it up. My facial saviour! Best wishes, and hopes that the company continues to thrive for as long as is possible!”
Sian

“Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful product. Over twenty years suffering from eczema and I have tried everything, even steroid cream! Your ointment is the only one that has really helped.” E Ziffo

“Please accept my apologies for taking SO long to do this for you.. but as it turns out, the delay has a kind of ‘silver lining’ (see below!) “I have been an Eczema sufferer for about 15 years. Like most of us, I’ve tried lotions and potions, I’ve tried diet, Acupuncture, Journey-work, and common sense.
And none of it has been more than slightly helpful – until now. For years, I’ve relied on the application of extreme cold to put out the ‘fiery itch’ that so many of us feel cursed with. In my case, at its worst, I would lie on my back with my foot melting the ice inside the chest freezer..
I can say, as a sufferer and as a healthcare professional, that the ointment from Purepotions is the only salve that not only feels good on the skin immediately, but soothes the dreaded itch for hours. Even better, the more I use it, the less I am getting those really bad times.
So a heartfelt ‘thank you to Purepotions!.
And as if that isn’t enough, it happens that I am also, during those years when they are inescapable, any mosquito’s snack of choice; and this year they devoured me.
To my delight and fervent gratitude, I found that my Purepotions Skin Salvation was also an effective Mozzie-bite salvation. Can I buy shares in the company please? Yours gratefully and sincerely,”

Robert Brayley-Hodgetts lTEC. AIP11. RSA. MRSS. Dip L Hyp. LHS.

“Saw you on Dragon’s Den. Sent off for a pot of skin salvation which arrived very quickly. 1st day of using and amazed by it already. I will certainly recommend. I wanted something to use on a small are of psoriasis.” James Hayes

“Thanks a million for this magic creation. I’ve had eczema around my eyes for over 3 years and I’ve found nothing yet that would fix the problem – up until now! I’ve tried everything under the sun, both prescribed and natural remedies, but after using PurePotions Skin Salvation for just 1 week, my eyes have never been better. Thank you so much, I shall be recommending your products to everyone.” 🙂 Jen

“LETTER OF PRAISE!!! Thank you for Pure Potions!!! Thank you for not giving up! Thank you for making the sacrifice of going on Dragon’s Den! Thank you for being in Holland and Barrett so that people from all over the UK can get access to it! Thank you for doing what you’re doing! Thank you for inventing a product that has brought so much joy into people’s lives! I’m so grateful for you and TO you that you are doing what you’re doing and helping people AROUND THE WORLD! Be sure to expand, expand and expand! Be in the USA! Be in Europe…Be in Asia…Be in Africa! Be worldwide! You deserve success and buckloads of it!
Where would the world be without leaders like you? PLEASE NEVER GIVE UP!!!
I once recommended Skin Salvation to one of my customer’s daughters who had what we felt may have been eczema on her scalp. As soon as she started to use Pure Potions on her scalp and washing out in the morning, the condition disappeared, never to return! I love you, Natalie, I love Weze and I love you Lula!”
Kind regards, Elizabeth, UX Designer

    Hi Ruth,

I’m trying to figure out if I can get this product on prescription. So i wanted to know if you managed to get yours on prescription? I asked my doctor and she said it’s not on the “system” so she can’t prescribe it.

I haven’t managed but I know some who have. Keep trying. My doctor is not so understanding but it’s worth a try
